Understanding the Morphing Brush settings

Shape tracking

Rendering length and time

A specific rendering length can be set in mm using the slider bar. To make fine adjustments with the slider, hold down your Option Key, as you drag along the slider. A specific rendering time can be applied using seconds.

Spacing

The spacing controls the distance between the brush marks as the line is drawn, and can be increased or decreased accordingly. The lower the number, the closer the marks are situated, resulting in a smoothly painted line.

At end of render

Determine how your brush will continue after finishing the cycle of set brush marks by choosing from a variety of options. Each will have a different creative effect.

  • Stop - with this option selected, the brushing stops at the end of the sequence and in correspondence to the set Rendering Time or Length
  • Cycle - the sequence will be repeated for the duration of brushing
  • Alternating Cycle - the sequence will repeat with alternating directions for the duration of painting. In other words, it will go front to back, then back to front
  • Continue with Last Brush - the sequence will be rendered and the stroke continued with the last brush mark for the duration of brushing
