如何创建镶木地板图案

以镶木地板图案布置地板图案的简单指南

Creating a parquet flooring pattern in AVA is very simple.

Creating a parquet flooring layout

  1. Go to File Menu > New > Document
  2. Set up the new document as 18x18 inches, 508 dpi
  3. Go to View Menu > Grid > Set up the grid as 3x3 inches and tick Show and Snap to
  4. Create 4 x 1 bit layers and colour up
  5. Go to View Menu > Set Repeat. Set the file in a 2x2 repeat with no drop
  6. Select the Filled Square Tool and fill one layer at a time with 3 by 1 squares, alternating between horizontal and vertical
  7. Continue the above step until the design is filled. It should look like the below image:

Creating a grout on a flooring layout

  1. Using the parquet flooring layout you have already created, go to Window Menu > Selections Palette and click Offset Repeat.
  2. Move the selection so it is not sitting directly over any of the plank joins
  3. Go to Window Menu > History > Show History and lock the last step
  4. Go to Window Menu > Gripping

Set up the Gripping Window with a 0.2 mm over grip in rectangle mode and click Grip.
  5. Go to Edit Menu > Select > Overlaps
  6. Create a new 1 bit layer and fill the overlapping selection
  7. Go to Window Menu > Selections Palette and drag the grout layer into the palette directly from the Layers.
  8. Go to Window Menu > History > Show History and revert to the previously locked action.
  9. Drag the layer from the Selections Palette back into the Layers. This will add the grout layer, and ensure the layers underneath are butt-fitting. The file should then look like the below image:

Adding designs into the layout

The next step is to add your design into the layout, either by copying and pasting or pasting into.

Rotating the layout

Once you have added the design into the layout, it is also possible to rotate the layout.

  1. Activate all layers and go to Edit Menu > Rotate > 45 degrees.
  2. Go to Window Menu > Wrap Around Repeat
  3. Tick Wrap Around Repeat On and set the file up in 2x2 repeat with a half drop across
  4. As the file is a perfect square, we can copy the number in the Drop box and paste it into the Down Spacing to get an exact match.
The file should then look similar to the below image:
  5. Click Trim Design and set repeat in your design as normal
