This palette action is an automatic way of separating subtly or naturally coloured designs to tonal 8 layers. You can download the palette from AVA Assist to use whenever it's needed. |
We think this will particularly useful for wood gain or more natural texture designs. The palette runs a number of automated tasks designed to give you a good starting point for you to then refine the separation. To use the palette follow the steps below:
• Open the design you want to separate, see example below.
• Click the palette to start the automation and take a look at the results.
• If you want to refine the separation further, you could gamma the layers and tweak their colour. You can also go back in your History to where it says 'Separate Colour Make' and open up the Advanced Colour window and adjust the separation settings, see examples below.

• Then Fix when you are happy with the separation, I also changed the layer order and decided I didn’t want the first two layers.
