Converting your AVA separation to Photoshop®™ layers

Exporting your separation to use in Photoshop

Automatically configure AVA spot layers into image layers for importing into Photoshop®™ as a PSD.  Manually, this is a lengthy process, but using the Palette Button 'Spot > PSD,' users can generate these layers quickly, with one click of a button, streamlining the integration between AVA and Photoshop®™.

  1. Download the Conversions Palette from our Downloads page.

  1. Save the Palette somewhere accessible. We recommend you create a Palettes folder in Documents > AVA and save it in there.
  2. Press the AVA > PSD button. All separated layers will be converted into Photoshop® layers, and the resulting file will be saved as a .psd file on your desktop.
  3. When opening the PSD file into Photoshop®™, you need to select all the layers and change the mode to Multiply to get the overprint effect.
