This Palette is designed to numerous steps in order to transform a pre-existing layer (with line detail) to a morph brush stroke of the user’s choice.
The steps performed in the ‘Re-Render Morph’ Palette
This Palette combines many steps and really saves time for the user. The selected layer upon clicking the Palette is firstly duplicated and thinned down to a pixel only keyline using a filter set. A vector layer is then added, and the thinned line converted to a vector. This then allows a 3rd layer to be added and a morphing brush rendered to it. The Palette finishes by removing the previous working layers, leaving you with the finished rendered layer. The morphing brush entry in the Palette’s make up can be changed to generate any morphing brush style of the user’s choice (see below).
How to use the ‘Re-Render Morph’ Palette
- With a design document open select the layer containing the outline you wish to re-render.
- Click the ‘Re-Render Morph’ Palette to run the action.
- The resulting layer will render an outline using the Morphing brush effect currently set in the Palette.
How to edit & render a different Morphing brush effect
If you wish to create a different effect with the brush shape combinations of the Morphing brush, its entry is easily editable:
- Hold ⌥ (option key) and click on the Palette to enter the editing window.
- Click the ‘edit’ icon of the ‘Morphing Brush’ entry to reveal the editing pop up.
- Different brush shapes and sizes can now be dragged using the brush icons in the Brushes window. An approximate preview of the effect is shown at the bottom the edit pop up.
