Noisy selections are often the result of using the Magic Wand tool, and if not handled correctly, can take a very long time to clean up. However, if you follow this simple, yet very effective tip, you can clean these selections up very, very quickly!
- Grow the noisy selection by 2 or 3 pixels by going to Edit Menu > Select > Grow.
- Now shrink the selection back by going to Edit Menu > Select > Contract and using the same number of pixels you grew the selection by. The results can be amazingly effective!
