This Palette is designed to numerous steps in order to transform a pre-existing layer (with line detail) to a selected brush shape of the user’s choice.
The steps performed in the ‘Re-Render Brush’ Palette
This Palette combines many steps and really saves time for the user. The selected layer upon clicking the Palette is firstly duplicated and thinned down to a pixel only keyline using a filter set. A vector layer is then added, and the thinned line converted to a vector. This then allows a 3rd layer to be added and the currently selected brush shape rendered to it. The Palette finishes by removing the previous working layers, leaving you with the finished rendered layer.
How to use the ‘Re-Render Brush’ Palette
- Open the Brushes window and select the brush shape you wish to use for re-render.
- With a design document open select the layer containing the outline you wish to re-render.
- Click the ‘Re-Render Brush’ Palette to run the action.
- The resulting layer will render an outline using brush shape selected in step 1.
